Culture Night at the Royal Irish Academy of Music
Culture Night kicks off with not one but two open classes…..

Following a highly successful appearance at New York’s Carnegie Hall last year, the vibrant RIAM Chamber Orchestra will give culture vultures an opportunity of hearing what is in store for audiences this academic year both at home and abroad.

Join Denise Coleman and her talented group of 5 to 6 year olds for a “birds-eye” view of the Academy’s hugely successful Pre-Instrumental Classes. Suitable for young musicians in the making.
From 6.00 pm in the Katherine Brennan Hall, Recital Hall and Organ Room of the Royal Irish Academy of Music
Performances begin in earnest at 6.00 pm with a veritable feast of music-making by staff and students of the Academy.
Starting with cellist Christopher Ellis and finishing with Appalachian music performed by violinist Karl Sweeney, cellist William Butt and double bass player Dominic Dudley, the night guarantees to send young and old home with a musical spring in their step!
