From Bononcin's Crispo

The first phase of the RISM Ireland Database was launched recently. This project highlights the numerous previously unknown, forgotten or lost musical manuscripts and scores lying dormant in repositories throughout the island of Ireland and provides access to source documents invaluable to musicologists and performers.

Currently the database covers manuscript holdings from six institutions, including the National Library of Ireland, RIAM and TCD.

The database is freely accessible at http://www.rism-ie.org
