The RIAM Teaching Network invites teachers from all over Ireland to participate in a varied and exciting programme which encompasses all areas of music teaching and the RIAM Local Centre examinations. The RIAM Teaching Network Conference will take place in the Royal Irish Academy of Music on the 3rd and 4th of July 2014. During the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to network and share experiences and best practices. The cost of the conference is €145 euro, with a discounted price of €95 for all members of the RIAM Teaching Network who sign up before 16th June.
On Thursday 3rd July, the pianist Finghin Collins will give a lecture recital. He will perform and discuss his favourite pieces, from the very first ones he studied up to the repertoire from his most recent concert programmes.
On Friday 4th July, the closing address will be given by the Director of the RIAM, Deborah Kelleher. The title of her address is “Towards a national community of learning: the future of the private music teacher in Ireland.”
