The Society for Musicology in Ireland invites all UG and PG students, lecturers, and interested members of the public to the 2016 Student Careers Forum, which will take place on Saturday, 16 January 2016, 12:00–13:30 at the Music Department, Trinity College Dublin as part of the Ninth Annual Postgraduate Conference of the Society for Musicology in Ireland.

This roundtable is planned to provide insight into the current job market, recent opportunities, crucial skills, and the role of learned societies for career paths within the area of musicology. Questions and comments from the floor will be very welcome.
Invited guest speakers are:
• Stephanie Ford (Maynooth University, PhD Candidate);
• Dr Nicole Grimes (Keele University);
• Prof. Julian Horton (Durham University, President of the Society for Music Analysis);
• Dr Gwen Moore (Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick, Chairperson of the Society for Music Education in Ireland); and
• Roy Stanley (Trinity College Dublin, Music Librarian).
